Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter declined to say Jameis Winston will reassume the starting quarterback role when he returns from suspension in Week 4.
Winston is serving a three-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy. His replacement, journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick, leads the league in passing and has thrown 8 touchdowns against 1 interception.
While Fitzpatrick almost certainly will not sustain this level of production, it is easy to see Tampa Bay riding the hot hand. Winston has been a roughly average NFL passer since entering the league.
