Alex Smith: Jordan Reed 'really special and unique' for Washington
Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is "really special and unique" in his ability to both block and run routes, quarterback Alex Smith said.
"His ability to do a lot as a tight end – I mean he is capable of doing about all there is because he has obviously the skill set to do it," Smith praised. "I think he’s a difference maker without a doubt at the tight end position." Reed has struggled to stay on the field throughout his career, but the 28-year-old is an elite option when healthy. Washington hosts the Indianapolis Colts in their home opener Week 2.
numberFire's metrics project Reed to score 9.3 FanDuel points at a cost of $6,200 in Week 2. He's the TE4 in our weekly fantasy rankings.
