Raiders' Derek Carr criticized by Jon Gruden
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was called out by head coach Jon Gruden for turning down open throws.
“[Amari] Cooper was open deep, he was open a couple times," Gruden said. "For whatever reason, we didn’t go there.” Carr's 2017 regression continued into the Raiders' opener, resulting in 3 interceptions and no touchdowns. For what it's worth, Gruden gave his quarterback a vote of confidence during a Tuesday press conference, insisting that he doesn't "have any doubts that Derek Carr is going to be great." The Raiders face the Denver Broncos in Week 2.
Carr is the QB30 in numberFire's Week 2 fantasy rankings. Our models expect him to score 13.1 FanDuel points at a cost of $6,600.
