Carolina won't stop Cam Newton from running the ball
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton won't be held back from running the ball, according to offensive coordinator Norv Turner.
The Panthers are intent on not forcing Newton into being something he is not, specifically a pocket passer. They are looking to maximize his running ability as shown with the quarterback leading the Panthers in rushes (13) and rushing yards (58) in Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys. Newton is numberFire's QB9 for DFS purposes in Week 2.
Our models project Newton for 207.2 passing yards with 1.3 touchdowns and 0.8 interceptions with 45.1 rushing yards for 1.0 FanDuel points in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons.
