Los Angeles Chargers tight end Antonio Gates is expected to see limited snaps if he plays at all in Week 1's contest versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Head coach Anthony Lynn told reporters that he wasn't sure if the 38-year-old tight end would play, but if he did Gates would definitely be on a pitch count. Gates just re-signed with L.A. this weekend and may not be in game shape yet. A determination is expected to be made after Gates gets in a few practices.
Our models project Gates for 23.8 catches, 278.9 yards, and 2.9 touchdowns in 2018.
