Sheldon Richardson

Jets' Sheldon Richardson suspended for four games

Jets defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson has been suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

What It Means:

Richardson registered eight sacks last season and was a key part of the Jets defensive line. The Eagles, Browns, Colts, and Dolphins are celebrating right now as they will not have to face Richardson at the beginning of the season. First-round pick Leonard Williams will likely step in and take over as the starting right defensive-end to start the season.
