Niners' Jerick McKinnon suffers 'concerning' injury Saturday

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, San Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon suffered what appeared to be a "concerning" injury during Saturday's workout.

What It Means:

McKinnon was already dealing with a calf issue but all indications are that the back is now dealing with a new injury. If McKinnon misses extended time, Matt Breida and Alfred Morris would stand to gain the most with Morris a possible starter in Week 1 with Breida nursing a shoulder injury of his own.

Our models projected McKinnon for 868.8 rushing yards, 380.3 receiving yards and 5.6 total touchdowns with the assumption he plays all 16 games in 2018.
