Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston may not start Week 4 after his three-game suspension, said general manager Jason Licht.
"I don't think it's fair to say right now that he's going to be the guy," Licht shared. "[If] Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Griffin, whoever it is, is playing lights out, I don't think it's fair right now just to say, 'Yes, automatically, [Jameis] is going to be the guy,'" he continued. The Buccaneers play the New Orleans Saints in Week 1, Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2, and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football in Week 3, before a road date versus the Chicago Bears in Week 4.
Assuming he starts from Week 4 until the end of the year, numberFire's models project Winston for 3,421.0 passing yards, 21.54 touchdowns, and 12.6 interceptions on 467 attempts this year, with another 131.2 rushing yards and 1.38 touchdowns on 28.1 attempts. He's the QB31 in our preseason rankings.
