Raiders release Griff Whalen (turf toe) with injury settlement
The Oakland Raiders released wide receiver Griff Whalen (turf toe) with an injury settlement.
What It Means:
Whalen is expected to miss around a month with turf toe. He will be eligible to return to the Raiders in Week 7 but can sign with any other team before then. The veteran wideout will likely get a chance to contribute somewhere on special teams.
Whalen has 6 total receptions over the past two seasons.
