Justin Perillo emerges for five catches, touchdown in Green Bay loss
Green Bay Packers tight end Justin Perillo hauled in 5-of-6 targets for 58 yards and a score in Green Bay's 18-16 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Perillo, a second-year tight end out of Maine, had been virtually nonexistent before this mini outburst. He'd played in three games this year, making two grabs for 28 yards.
This is probably just an outlier, but with Green Bay's offense struggling, maybe Perillo will earn more looks going forward. He finished the loss to the Lions as the team's most productive pass catcher, turning his six targets into 6.47 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP). Green Bay plays the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11. Minnesota ranks 13th in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play.
