Aaron Donald, Rams closing in on deal

The Los Angeles Rams and defensive lineman holdout Aaron Donald are "close" to getting a new deal done, according to head coach Sean McVay.

What It Means:

It sounds like the two sides will be able to get something worked out in time for Donald to play in Week 1. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year's holdout last season caused him to miss the Rams' opener.

numberFire's models project Donald to record 53.8 tackles and 11.3 sacks in 16 games for the Rams this season.
