Lamar Miller is Texans' 'three-down back'
Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller was referred to as "a three-down back" by head coach Bill O'Brien.
"He’s what we call a three-down back," O'Brien said. "We feel like he can play on first, second and third down. He’s a very good pass protector, blitz pickup guy." O'Brien continued to heap praise, adding that Miller is "a very good runner" and "good receiver out of the backfield." With D'Onta Foreman still sidelined by an Achilles injury, Miller virtually has the backfield to himself as he enters his age-27 campaign.
numberFire's models project Miller for 921.2 rushing yards, 319.8 receiving yards, and 5.83 touchdowns in 2018. He's the RB18 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
