Packers not shopping Randall Cobb
The Green Bay Packers are shopping wide receiver Randall Cobb, according to a report from The Ringer, but this has been disputed by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
RapSheet noted that some teams "checked on" Cobb's availability for trade, but insists the Packers "are not shopping him and expect him to contribute to their team." Cobb's base salary of $8.6 million combined with his extensive injury history does make him a tough sell on the trade market, and Green Bay's rookie receivers have had some predictable hitches in their development. For instance, J'Mon Moore's issues with drops have been detailed by others, including Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Our models project Cobb for 841 receiving yards and 5.6 touchdowns on 80 catches this season –- good for the 27th-best fantasy projection among wide receivers for 2018.
