Josh Rosen granted freedom at Cardinals’ line of scrimmage
Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Josh Rosen is being given freedom to change plays at the line of scrimmage from offensive coordinator Mike McCoy.
"The headset cuts off at 15 seconds, so he can’t say everything," said Rosen. "He wants us to be able to try to fix things here and there." The 10th overall pick showed improvement in the Cardinals' second preseason game, but he's still going to start his career as Sam Bradford's backup. However, considering Bradford's injury history, Rosen could wind up making starts as a rookie.
Rosen has completed 16-of-29 passes (55.2 percent) for 148 yards and 1 touchdown so far this preseason.
