Kenny Golladay playing over Golden Tate in Lions' two-wides

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay played over Golden Tate in two-wide sets during Friday's preseason game against the New York Giants.

What It Means:

"We're just trying to get the play counts out there, and we're going in and out of different personnel groups, so we have it kind of sketched out that way," head coach Matt Patricia said. The Lions rarely went two-wide last year, so this likely is more of a positive for Golladay than a negative for Tate, who should still see plenty of work in the slot. Golladay, a 2017 second-round pick, was limited to 11 games as a rookie due to injury.

numberFire's models currently project Golladay for 65.3 targets, 36.6 receptions, 532.3 yards, and 3.34 touchdowns in 2018. He's the WR66 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
