Alshon Jeffery 'day-to-day' for Eagles, Week 1 status unknown
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is day-to-day, according to head coach Doug Pederson.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that Alshon Jeffery (shoulder surgery) could begin the season on the reserve/PUP list, which would cost the receiver six games, but Pederson says he's "not sure where that came from." Jeffery's Week 1 status remains in doubt, but it sounds like he should be able to avoid automatically missing the first six contests.
numberFire's models currently project Jeffery to catch 62.2 passes (125.0 targets) for 990.6 yards and 7.95 touchdowns this season, but that assumes he plays all 16 games.
