Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) will need a week of 11-on-11 work to be ready for Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Doug Pederson said.
Wentz said "it's going to be close" when he was asked about his Week 1 availability during a radio interview on Tuesday. The third-year quarterback hopes to return to 11-on-11 work next week, which would put him on track to be under center for the opener.
numberFire's models project Wentz to throw for 3,980.3 yards with 27.81 touchdowns and 10.0 interceptions, in addition to 311.6 yards and 3.05 touchdowns on the ground. He's the 7th-ranked quarterback in our preseason fantasy rankings.
