49ers' Jerick McKinnon (knee) reportedly dealing with 'just a muscle strain'
San Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon's MRI on his knee revealed "just a muscle strain," reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
This is great news after McKinnon had to make an early exit from Sunday's practice, but the 49ers still may opt to hold him out of preseason action until he's back to full health. Rasheem Mostert saw most of the reps after McKinnon went down. Matt Breida is already out until Week 1 with a shoulder injury.
numberFire's projections currently have McKinnon compiling 913.3 rushing yards, 54.8 receptions, 399.7 receiving yards, and 5.80 touchdowns. He's the RB15 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
