Christian McCaffrey set for expanded workload in Panthers' offense
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey could get 25-30 touches per game this season, offensive coordinator Norv Turner said Thursday.
Panthers head coach Ron Rivera previously said it would be "ideal" for McCaffrey to see that workload and Turner believes it's a "realistic" number. It sounds like the second-year back is due for a significant spike in usage after averaging 12.3 touches as a rookie.
numberFire's models currently expect McCaffrey to average 14.3 offensive touches per game for a total of 1,431.6 yards and 8.72 touchdowns this season. He's the RB14 in our standard preseason fantasy rankings but figures to hold more value in PPR formats.
