Raiders' Jordy Nelson 'can still run'
Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jordy Nelson "can still run," head coach Jon Gruden said.
"We put [a speedometer] out on our practice field," Gruden said, "and he's ripping down there 22 miles per hour." Nelson, now 33, appeared to lose a significant step last season but Gruden and the Raiders are optimistic that had more to do with quarterback play than the receiver's diminishing ability. He will start opposite Amari Cooper.
numberFire's models project Nelson for 87.5 catches (114.8 targets), 805.0 yards, and 4.78 touchdowns this season. He's the WR40 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
