Vikings' Dalvin Cook says he is 'ahead of schedule'
Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (knee) said he is "ahead of schedule" in his rehab.
Cook added that he believes he "took a step forward" and made it clear there isn't any hesitation about returning to action. "I know my knee is fixed. I know I’m healed up," Cook replied when asked about getting the first hit out of the way. "Put the time in, go out there and play." The rising second-year back said he hopes to be active for the Vikings' first preseason game on August 11 against the Denver Broncos.
Cook is the RB12 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. numberFire's models project him to rush 258.2 times for 1,117.1 yards and 8.18 touchdowns, and catch 42.0 passes for 309.6 yards and 0.87 receiving touchdowns.
