Buccaneers' first-round pick Vita Vea suffers calf injury at Sunday's practice

Tampa Bay Buccaneers first-round defensive tackle Vita Vea left Sunday's practice with an apparent left leg injury.

What It Means:

The initial diagnosis is a strain but Vea will be re-evaluated. He was able to limp off the field under his own power and it fortunately sounds like the 12th overall pick avoided a serious injury.

numberFire's models currently project Vea to record 39.1 tackles and 1.0 sacks as a rookie.
