Texans' D'Onta Foreman might not be ready for opener
Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman (Achilles, active/PUP) might not be ready for Week 1, according to general manager Brian Gaine.
"Work in progress right now, recovering from this injury," Gaine said. "He's improving, but time will tell whether he's available to us when we kick off." Foreman is recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered last November. If the 2017 third-rounder opens the year on the reserve/PUP list, he will be forced to sit out the first six games. That would bode well for Lamar Miller's early-season outlook.
numberFire's models currently project Foreman for 626.9 yards and 4.10 touchdowns on 142 touches (19.8 catches) in 2018, but that's based on a full 16-game season. He's the RB43 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
