Joe Flacco remains secure atop Ravens' depth chart
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco remains locked in as the starting quarterback, writes Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
What It Means:
Lamar Jackson has received all the buzz, but Zrebiec says his arm is still "a work-in-progress" and that the Ravens intend to use a long-term approach. "If Jackson starts a game at quarterback this season," Zrebiec writes, "it will almost surely be because Flacco is either hurt or the team’s season has become a lost cause and they start evaluating for the future." This will be one of the more intriguing position battles to watch throughout the preseason.
Flacco is the QB30 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our metrics expect him to throw for 3,718.9 yards with 19.89 touchdowns and 16.3 interceptions this season.
