Oakland Raiders contract-year edge player Khalil Mack and new head coach Jon Gruden "haven't spoken once" since Gruden was hired, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Mack is reportedly holding out for a new deal through the start of training camp but this may indicate more of a chemistry issue than a negotiating tactic, if anything at all. The 27-year-old two-time All-Pro and 2016 Defensive Player of the Year is currently due $13.86 million in the final year of his rookie deal.
numberFire's models project Mack to record 81.7 tackles and 11.9 sacks this season.
