Saints' Cameron Meredith (ACL, MCL) participating in full-team drills on first day of camp
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cameron Meredith (ACL, MCL) is participating in full-team drills on Thursday in the first day of training camp.
What It Means:
This is a great sign after Meredith tore his ACL and MCL last preseason. Josh Katzenstein of The Times-Picayune wrote earlier this week that Meredith is the "best bet" for the second receiver job ahead of Ted Ginn. The 2015 undrafted free agent turns 26 in September.
Meredith is currently behind Ginn (WR49) and outside of the top-60 receivers in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models currently project him to catch 39.7 passes (68.1 targets) for 513.7 yards and 3.07 touchdowns during his first year in New Orleans.
