Lamar Jackson 'way ahead of curve' for Ravens at camp
Baltimore Ravens first-round quarterback Lamar Jackson is "way ahead of the curve," offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said after Sunday's training camp practice.
"He’s done an outstanding job up to date," Mornhinweg said. "He’s way ahead of the curve now." ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley noted that Jackson's "accelerated improvement is the result of hard work." Mornhinweg worked with Michael Vick and assistant head coach Greg Roman has experience with Colin Kaepernick and Tyrod Taylor, so Baltimore should provide an optimal situation for the dual-threat Louisville product. Hensley added that Jackson is second on the depth chart, behind Joe Flacco and ahead of Robert Griffin III.
For now, numberFire's models expect Jackson to back up Flacco, who is the QB30 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
