Broncos' Devontae Booker could open year as starter
Denver Broncos running back Devontae Booker is expected to start Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks, writes Mike Klis of 9 News Denver.
"Booker has good command of the offensive playbook and has become a competent pass protector," leading Klis to believe that he will start in Week 1 over third-round pick Royce Freeman. Regardless of who plays on the first drive, the Broncos will likely split work between the two backs.
numberFire's models currently believe Booker (RB48 in our preseason fantasy rankings) will be less productive than Freeman (RB35) next season, with 129.9 rushes for 550.5 yards and 2.22 touchdowns, with 21.9 catches for 149.1 yards and 0.47 scores.
