Colts' T.Y. Hilton (foot) a longshot to play on Sunday

Indianapolis Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton (foot) is a "longshot" to play Sunday against the Denver Broncos, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

What It Means:

The Colts are on a short week after playing Monday night. Hilton hasn't practiced all week. Even if he does suit up, which is looking increasingly unlikely, Hilton has a lot of things going against him -- poor play from the Colts' offense, his injury and a brutal matchup against the Denver Broncos.

Hilton has accrued the seventh-most Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) among wide receivers -- 57.11 on 81 targets -- but his 46.91 catch rate percentage is the fourth-worst among receivers with at least 30 targets. The matchup against the Broncos is a tough one, with Denver ranking first in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play. If he can't go, Donte Moncrief would be the Colts' de facto No. 1 wideout while Andre Johnson, Griff Whalen, Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener could all see an increased role.
