Jonathan Stewart

Jonathan Stewart looked rough for Giants in spring

New York Giants running back Jonathan Stewart "looked more like a plodding veteran running back trying to hang on" during offseason practices than someone who can contribute this season, writes Matt Lombardo of NJ Advance Media.

What It Means:

Stewart mustered just 3.4 yards per carry last season and turned 31 in March, so this isn't a surprising review. He will likely open the year as third back on the Giants' depth chart, behind Saquon Barkley and Wayne Gallman.

numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings place Stewart outside of the top-60 for players at his position.
