Eagles' Kiko Alonso expected to play Week 9
Philadelphia Eagles inside linebacker Kiko Alonso (knee) expects to return for Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
What It Means:
Alonso has been sidelined since Week 2. With Jordan Hicks shining in Alonso's absence, it's unclear how Philly plans to divvy up snaps between Alonso, Hicks, DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks. Ryans missed Week 7 with a hamstring issue.
Surprisingly, offense has been the Eagles' bugaboo this season, not the defense. Philadelphia ranks third in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play, and they have a superb matchup on Sunday against Matt Cassel and the Cowboys.
