Jake Butt

Broncos excited about Jake Butt's progress

The Denver Broncos are "very excited" with sophomore tight end Jake Butt's progress, head coach Vance Joseph said.

What It Means:

Butt redshirted his rookie season thanks to a torn ACL, but he has been fully healthy for the offseason program. "He works so hard and he’s obviously a playmaker [when] you watch him catch the football," Joseph said. In a weak tight end group featuring Jeff Heuerman and Troy Fumagalli as his biggest competition, Butt will get every chance to earn the starting job.

Our models project Butt as the best Denver tight end for fantasy so far, but he comes in just 43rd among all tight ends with 232 receiving yards and 1.5 touchdowns on 20 catches. That projection could rise with more clarity on the situation as the offseason progresses.
