49ers' Reggie Bush diagnosed with torn ACL
San Francisco 49ers' running back Reggie Bush is believed to have suffered a torn left ACL in the 49ers' Week 8 loss to the St. Louis Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Bush was injured midway through the first quarter while returning a punt. He slipped on some exposed concrete behind the team bench and hurt his knee. Bush laid on the ground near the stands before getting carted to the locker room. Turning 31 next March and headed toward free agency, this could be the end of Bush's football career. With Bush, Mike Davis (hand), and Carlos Hyde (foot) sidelined, Kendall Gaskins got the No. 1 reps on Sunday.
Before exiting, Bush had just one target in Week 8 that he did not catch, producing -1.53 Target Net Expected Points (NEP). Bush has produced -3.90 Total NEP on 17 opportunities in 2015.
