Julio Jones to skip Falcons' minicamp, officially a holdout
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones informed the team he will not attend mandatory minicamp as he seeks a contract extension.
The Falcons previously believed that Jones would be at camp on Monday, but the veteran wideout will not participate as he looks for a new contract. Jones is scheduled to make $10.5M in 2018 as the eighth-highest paid receiver in the NFL. He is looking for a contract extension from the club after seeing quarterback Matt Ryan receiving one worth $150M this offseason.
Our models project Jones for 163.2 targets, 98.6 catches, 1,541.5 yards, and 7.7 touchdowns in 2018.
