Washington signs first-rounder Da'Ron Payne to four-year deal
The Washington Redskins have signed rookie defensive tackle Da'Ron Payne to a four-year deal, reports ESPN's Field Yates.
Payne is the first 2018 first-rounder to sign with the team that selected him. He will push Ziggy Hood to more of a limited rotation role this season as he looks to help out the Washington run defense.
Last season at Alabama, Payne made 53 total tackles with 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss and 1 fumble recovery. He will bring some support to a Washington team that ranked second-to-last against the rush, according to our metrics.
