C.J. Anderson signs 1-year deal with Panthers
The Carolina Panthers signed running back C.J. Anderson, formerly of the Denver Broncos, to a 1-year contract.
Assuming that Anderson surpasses Fozzy Whittaker and Cameron Artis-Payne on the Panthers' depth chart behind Christian McCaffrey, he could see a role similar to the one Jonathan Stewart played last season, which yielded 198 carries, 680 yards, and 6 touchdowns. Anderson turned 27 in February and averaged 4.0 yards per carry over the last two seasons.
CJA averaged 10.1 FanDuel points per game for the Broncos last season while totaling 1,007 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground, in addition to 28 catches (40 targets) for 224 yards and 1 score.
