Washington Redskins snag LSU RB Derrius Guice with pick 59 of the NFL Draft
The Washington Redskins selected LSU Tigers running back Derrius Guice with the 59th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Skins moved back in the second-round and were still able to grab one of the top running back prospects in the draft. Guice had been projected as a late-first round pick but ends up as the seventh back taken (fourth in round two) in 2018. The rookie joins a Washington backfield that needed a jolt as Samaje Perine underwhelmed while Rob Kelly and Chris Thompson got hurt in 2017.
Guice rushed 471 times for 3,074 yards and 29 touchdowns in his three seasons at LSU.
