Philadelphia Eagles trade up to select TE Dallas Goedert in the second round
The Philadelphia Eagles have selected South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
They moved up three spots--one ahead of the Cowboys--to grab him. This is an excellent fit for both parties. The Eagles utilized the tight end position often in the passing game in 2017, and they are now without Brent Celek and Trey Burton.
There is no reason why Goedert shouldn't see decent targets right out of the gate. He had over 1,100 yards receiving in his junior and senior seasons.
