Detroit Lions trade up to 43 to take Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson
The Detroit Lions traded the 51st and 117th picks to the New England Patriots in exchange for the 43rd overall pick, which they used on Auburn Tigers running back Kerryon Johnson.
The addition of Johnson as well as LeGarrette Blount in free agency could signal the end of Ameer Abdullah's time in Detroit. After a strong sophomore campaign, Johnson broke out for Auburn in 2017 totaling over 1,500 yards while scoring 20 total touchdowns.
The Lions ranked dead last in the NFL with 1,221 rushing yards in 2017, an average of just 76.3 yards per game.
