Washington tight end Jordan Reed (concussion) returned to practice Wednesday.
Reed has missed the past two weeks after suffering another concussion and sustaining injuries to his knees and ankles. He had a helmet with him during practice, so it looks like Reed should be nearing a Week 7 return.
Wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to miss another week, so Reed could return to his role as a target hog within the offense. He had seen 11, 6, 9, and 8 targets over the first four weeks. Reed is 12th in Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target out of 27 tight ends with at least 20 targets. In facing a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that ranks 27th in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play, Reed would be in a positive spot if he were to play.
