San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was charged on Thursday with felony domestic violence by the Santa Clara District Attorney's office.
The charge stems from a February argument between Foster and his live-in girlfriend at their Los Gatos home. The argument resulted in Foster attacking the woman, resulting in bruises and a ruptured ear drum. The 24-year-old will be arraigned Thursday afternoon and faces more than 11 years in prison. He was also charged with misdemeanor possession of a large-capacity weapon magazine. It wouldn't be surprising for the 49ers to cut ties with the former first-round pick in the next 24-to-48 hours.
Foster tallied 59 tackles and 1 pass defensed in 10 starts this past season.
