According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis has been suspended four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
Reportedly, Davis' ban is for a non-HGH substance. The 35-year-old veteran announced his disappointment in a video statement on his Twitter account Friday. It will prove to be a challenge for the Panthers, despite what was expected to be a lesser role. Shaq Thompson should see the majority of snaps in his stead, with Jared Norris getting time as well.
This past season, Davis finished with 52 tackles and 3 sacks in 15 starts.
