Jeff Janis signs with Browns
The Cleveland Browns agreed to terms with wide receiver Jeff Janis, formerly of the Green Packers.
Janis was a 2014 seventh-round pick and despite excellent play in the preseason and on special teams, he was always buried on the depth chart in Green Bay. Turning 27 this summer, Janis joins a talented group of pass-catchers in Cleveland that includes Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry, Corey Coleman, and rising sophomore David Njoku.
Janis has 17 career catches (38 targets) for 200 yards and 1 touchdown in the regular season. In the 2015 NFC Divisional Round against the Arizona Cardinals, Janis hauled in 7 catches for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns.
