The Carolina Panthers are finalizing a 2-year contract with defensive back Da'Norris Searcy, formerly of the Tennessee Titans, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Searcy started 33 games for the Titans before falling out of favor last year behind All-Pro Kevin Byard and free-agent pickup Johnathan Cyprien. The 29-year-old safety will likely replace Kurt Coleman in the Panthers' defensive backfield opposite Mike Adams.
Searcy recorded 23 tackles (12 solo) with 2 pass deflections and 1 interception last season.
