The Miami Dolphins signed running back Frank Gore, previously of the Indianapolis Colts, to a 1-year contract.
Gore played his college ball at the University of Miami and apparently wanted to finish out his career where it started. Turning 35 in May, Gore has failed to top 4.0 yards per carry in three straight seasons, but the durable veteran has still managed to total 1,200 yards from scrimmage every single season since 2006 -- his second in the league. Gore will likely take on a complementary role in the Dolphins' backfield while Kenyan Drake sees a larger share of the workload.
Gore averaged 9.9 FanDuel points per game last season, with 261 rushes for 961 yards and 3 touchdowns, while adding another 245 yards and 1 touchdown on 29 receptions (38 targets).
