The Indianapolis Colts have released defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Colts just signed Hankins to a three-year, $30 million deal a season ago. He secured the $10 million in guaranteed money, but the Colts will cut $8.5 million as they switch defensive schemes in 2018. Tennessee and Seattle are early landing spots for the 25-year-old.
Hankins tallied 25 tackles, 2 sacks and 3 passes defensed in 15 starts last season. He finished as Pro Football Focus' 20th-ranked defensive lineman.
