A.J. McCarron lands starting opportunity with Bills, signs 2-year deal
The Buffalo Bills signed quarterback A.J. McCarron, formerly of the Cincinnati Bengals, to a 2-year contract.
McCarron was initially linked with the Cleveland Browns, but they traded for Tyrod Taylor, so the Alabama product will take over in Buffalo instead. After handling clipboard duties behind Andy Dalton for the first four years of his career, McCarron will finally get a chance to prove what he's capable of as a starter. He turns 28 at the beginning of the regular season.
Through 3 starts and 11 career appearances, McCarron has completed 64.7% of his passes for 920 yards, 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
