Rex Burkhead reportedly re-signs with Patriots on multi-year deal
The New England Patriots re-signed running back Rex Burkhead to a multi-year deal, reports Jim McBride of Boston Globe.
Dion Lewis signed with the Tennessee Titans, so Burkhead may see an expanded role next season while splitting work with James White. Mike Gillislee is also still around but the Patriots will likely add another back that factors into the mix.
Burkhead averaged 10.2 FanDuel points in 10 games last season, with 64 carries for 264 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns, in addition to 30 receptions (36 targets) for 254 yards and 3 touchdowns.
