Eric Ebron released by Lions
The Detroit Lions released tight end Eric Ebron.
If Ebron was on the roster after 4 o' clock this afternoon, his $8 million-plus salary would have become guaranteed for next season. The 10th overall pick from the 2015 draft failed to live up to expectations in Detroit but he turns just 25 next month and will likely draw interest from multiple teams. Meanwhile, the Lions are now in need of a tight end.
Ebron averaged 6.6 FanDuel points per game last season, with 53 catches (86 targets) for 574 yards and 4 touchdowns.
