Bears sign Chase Daniel to two-year deal

The Chicago Bears have signed quarterback Chase Daniel to a two-year, $10 million deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

What It Means:

Of Daniel's $10 million, $7 million is guaranteed. However, it is voidable after one year. At 31, Daniel will serve as the team's backup and help Mitch Trubisky develop under Matt Nagy.

Daniel didn't attempt a single pass in 2017, and he has just 2 career starts in 8 NFL seasons.
